【3/5 USD/JPY Scalp Points】
Good work everyone! Let’s go with USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, here is the Tokyo session overview for today.
Currently USD/JPY is around 157.10. This morning USD/JPY started around 157.00, but in the early Tokyo session, news of Iran ceasefire talks cooled demand for safe-haven buying, and it fell to around 156.45 after 10:00 Japan time.
However, as Iran signaled continued attacks and did not soften its hardline stance, safe-haven buying resumed with a “give-and-take” movement. It seems the market will hand off almost to the overseas session at roughly the same level as in the morning.
Headline markets are tricky, but please stay alert to sudden developments in Middle East affairs today as well.
Now, here are the points for USD/JPY scalping tonight.
● Movements around the London market open
● Movements after the US initial jobless claims release at 22:30
● Movements around the New York market open (Dow opens at 23:30)

Other notes…
・Be mindful of headlines related to Middle East affairs

Tonight’s “1-minute scalp” targets movements around market opens as well as the post-22:30 US unemployment claims data. For users of the “1-minute scalp club,” follow the standard approach and you’ll be fine. Also, headlines related to the Middle East should be watched closely today as well.
Also, the short-only “15-minute scalp” remains cautious as Iran signals continued attacks and maintains a hardline stance, with safe-haven buying resuming; proceed without forcing trades. Tonight I plan to focus on “1-minute scalp.”
Now the overseas session will begin shortly!
Scalping tends to be thought of as having small profit targets, leading to the belief that there are opportunities 24 hours a day, but that isn’t the case. By targeting times with higher volatility, you can drastically reduce the difficulty of trading.
The times I target are around the London market open and around the New York market open.
・London market open time (during US daylight saving time 16:00~ / during US standard time 17:00~)
・New York market open time (during US daylight saving time 22:00~ / during US standard time 23:00~)
Even immediately after U.S. economic data or events are released, volatility increases and opportunities are plentiful. However, in the minutes right after the release, spreads can widen, so the rule is to enter only after spreads return to normal.
Always check the U.S. data and events schedule in advance. Knowing the times when opportunities will come allows you to accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, absolutely avoid positioning immediately before U.S. data or events. If you go against it, you’ll be doomed. Your stop losses can be hit in an instant. Carelessness is not allowed, absolutely not.
U.S. data and events schedules can be checked on the websites of each securities company and FX provider.
Of course there are other points besides the three above, but I’ve described the essential points you should cover when scalping USD/JPY.
