【3/2 USD/JPY scalping points】
Thank you for your hard work! Alright, let's do USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, a summary of the Tokyo session today.
Currently USD/JPY is around 156.90. This morning it started around 156.25, but during the Tokyo session safe-haven dollar buying favored as the United States and Israel attacked Iran over the weekend.
After rising to around 156.80 near 9 o’clock Japan time, there were moments of pullback, but when reports surfaced that one of Iran’s potential successors refused dialogue with the United States, the dollar buyers again tilted the market.
From the morning level, about a 65-pip rise is expected to carry into overseas hours. Headlines are tricky, but stay vigilant for sudden shifts in Iran-related developments.
Now, the points for tonight's USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements around the London market open
● Movements around the New York market open (Dow opens at 23:30)
● Movements after the 24:00 release of the U.S. ISM Manufacturing PMI
—–
Other notes..
・Be mindful of headlines related to Iran
—–
Tonight’s “1-minute chart scalping” will likely target movements around each market open plus the moves after the 24:00 ISM Manufacturing PMI release. For “1-minute scalping club” users, following the theory should be fine. Also today, be cautious of Iran-related headlines.
Also, the short-only “15-minute scalping” is unlikely to push aggressively due to Iran-related developments and reports that one of Iran’s potential successors refused dialogue with the United States. I plan to focus on the “1-minute scalping” tonight.
Now we’ll soon start overseas hours!
Scalping tends to seem like there are 24-hour opportunities because the profit per trade is small, but that’s not the case. By targeting periods with relatively high volatility, you can significantly reduce trading difficulty.
The timeframes I target are near the London market open and near the New York market open.
・London market open time (DST 16:00– / Standard Time 17:00–)
・New York market open time (DST 22:00– / Standard Time 23:00–)
Even immediately after U.S. data or events, volatility remains high and opportunities are abundant. However, in the minutes right after an announcement, spreads can widen, so always strike only after the spread returns to normal.
Always check the U.S. data/event schedule in advance on your brokerage or FX provider’s website. Knowing the times when opportunities arise helps you accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, absolutely avoid positioning right before U.S. data/events. If you go against the trend, you won’t be able to help yourself. You can be taken to the stop-loss level in an instant. Carelessness is not acceptable, absolutely.
U.S. data/event schedules can be checked on each brokerage or FX provider’s website.
Of course, there are other points beyond these three, but I’ve explained the minimum points you should keep in mind when scalping USD/JPY.
Also..
Actually, one of my trading methods, “15-minute scalping,” is completely released for free. I hope it’s of some help (completely free).
