[2/26 Dollar-Yen Scalping Points]
Thank you for your hard work! Let's do some USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, from today’s Tokyo session overview.
Currently USD/JPY is around 155.95. The pair started the morning around 156.30, but during the Tokyo session there was a continuous flow of selling dollars and buying yen.
The factors include the view that U.S. tariff policy is negative for the dollar, and the cautious mood toward BoJ rate hikes next month.
From the early level, about 35 pips down, it seems to hand over to the overseas session. After this, we will head into the overseas session, but the upside for USD/JPY looks heavy.
Now, the points for tonight’s USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements around 17:00 London market open
● Movements after the release of the U.S. weekly jobless claims
● Movements around the New York market open (Dow opens at 23:30)
—–
Other notes…
・Be cautious of comments by U.S. Bowmen (Bowan) FRB Vice Chair at 24:00
・The probability of BoJ rate hikes next month keeps upside limited; hard to rise

Tonight’s “1-minute scalping” should target moves around each market open, plus the 22:30 release of the U.S. initial jobless claims. For users of the “1-minute scalping club,” handling as per the theory should be fine.
Also, the “15-minute scalping” for shorting only, due to expected caution around BoJ rate hikes next month, will likely have limited upside and may present opportunities. If it can be sold in the high-155s, we’ll enter.
Now the overseas session is about to begin!
Because scalping aims for small profit margins, one might think there are 24-hour opportunities, but that is not the case. By targeting time periods with reasonably high volatility, you can significantly lower the difficulty of trading.
The time periods I target are around the London market open and around the New York market open.
・London market open time (16:00 during US daylight saving time / 17:00 during US standard time)
・New York market open time (22:00 during US daylight saving time / 23:00 during US standard time)
There is high volatility and many opportunities immediately after U.S. indicators/events are released. However, in the few minutes after the release the spread can widen, so the rule is to always wait until the normal spread returns before entering.
Always check the U.S. indicators/events schedule in advance. Knowing the time windows when opportunities arise helps you accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, absolutely avoid positioning immediately before U.S. indicators/events releases. If you go against the trend, you’re in trouble. You can be taken to the stop-loss line in an instant. Careless mistakes are unacceptable, absolutely.
U.S. indicators/events schedules can be checked on the websites of each broker or FX provider.
Of course there are many other points beyond the three above, but I’ve explained the essential points to keep in mind when scalping USD/JPY.
