【2/25 USD/JPY Scalp Points】
Thank you for your hard work! Now let's scalp USD/JPY again tonight!
First, from today's Tokyo session overview.
Currently USD/JPY is around 155.80. The pair started this morning around 155.75, but in the early Tokyo session it moved with slight dollar selling, dropping to about 155.35 (today's Asia low) just after 11:30 JST.
However, once news emerged that two BOJ policymakers were viewed as hawkish, expectations for an early rate hike by the BOJ receded, and USD/JPY rose into the 156s, seemingly handing over to the overseas session at roughly the same level as the early morning.
Yesterday's report that Prime Minister Suga(?) or Takahashi? was reluctant about additional BOJ rate hikes, and today's report about appointing two hawkish BOJ policymakers suggest USD/JPY may remain firm today as well.
Now, the points for tonight's USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements near 17:00 London market open
● Movements near 23:00 New York market open (Dow opening at 23:30)

Other notes..
・With expectations for BOJ rate hikes wane, USD/JPY might stay firm

Tonight's "1-minute chart scalping" has no US data or events scheduled and no particular market catalysts, so the moves near each market open may be the targets. For users of the "1-minute scalping club," proceed as per the theory and there should be no problems.
Also, for the short-only "15-minute scalping," the waning expectations of early BOJ rate hikes tends to lead to yen weakness, so don't push it. Tonight I plan to focus on "1-minute scalping."
Now, the overseas session will start shortly!
Scalping tends to be thought as having small profit targets, leading to a perception of 24-hour opportunities, but that is not the case. By targeting periods with relatively high volatility, you can dramatically reduce the difficulty of trading.
The time periods I target are around the London market open and the New York market open.
・London market open time (US daylight saving time: 16:00; US standard time: 17:00)
・New York market open time (US daylight saving time: 22:00; US standard time: 23:00)
After US data/events are released, volatility often rises and there are more opportunities. However, in the first few minutes after the release, spreads may widen, so always enter after the spread has returned to normal levels.
Always check the US data/events schedule in advance on brokerage or FX provider websites. Knowing the time windows when opportunities arise helps you accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, avoid positioning immediately before US data/events. If you go against it, it can be disastrous. You can get stopped out in an instant. Careless mistakes are not allowed, absolutely.
US data/event schedules can be checked on the websites of each broker or FX provider.
Of course there are other points besides these three, but I have discussed the minimum points to keep in mind when scalping USD/JPY.
