[2/24 USD/JPY Scalping Points]
Thanks for your hard work! Let's dive into USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, a quick overview of today’s Tokyo session.
Currently, USD/JPY is around 155.15. This morning it started around 154.55, and during the Tokyo session there were reports of possible additional U.S. tariffs, but no notable turmoil occurred and sentiment remained optimistic, pushing to around 155.30 (today’s Asia high) just after 13:30 Japan time.
From there, it retraced slightly and, about 60 pips above the morning level, is likely to transition to the overseas session.
It has breached the previous high and moved into the 155s. Attention now turns to the European and London participants.
Now, the points for tonight’s USD/JPY scalping.
● Moves around the London market open
● Moves around the New York market open (Dow opens at 23:30)
● Moves after the U.S. Consumer Confidence Index release at 24:00

Other notes…
・Be mindful of a rush of statements from U.S. officials

Tonight’s “1-minute chart scalping” focuses on moves around market opens plus moves after the 24:00 U.S. Consumer Confidence Index release. For users of the “1-minute chart scalping club,” if you follow the theory, there should be no issues.
Also, the “15-minute chart scalping” which is shorts-only, saw no notable turmoil despite reports of possible U.S. tariffs, and moved optimistically without forcing it. Tonight I plan to focus on the “1-minute chart scalping.”
Now the overseas session is about to start!
Because the profit target per trade in scalping is small, people often think there are opportunities around the clock, but that is not the case. By targeting periods with relatively high volatility, you can significantly reduce the difficulty of trading.
The timeframes I’m targeting are around the London market open and around the New York market open.
・London market open time (in U.S. daylight time 16:00– / in U.S. standard time 17:00–)
・New York market open time (in U.S. daylight time 22:00– / in U.S. standard time 23:00–)
Even immediately after U.S. indicators/events, volatility tends to rise and opportunities increase. However, in the minutes right after the release the spread can widen, so the rule is to enter only after it returns to the normal spread.
Always check the U.S. indicators/events schedule in advance. Understanding when opportunities will arise helps you accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, absolutely avoid positioning immediately before U.S. indicators/events. If you go against it, you’ll be wiped out in an instant. Carelessness is not acceptable, absolutely not.
U.S. indicators/events schedules can be checked on the websites of each securities/FX broker.
Of course there are many other points besides these three, but I’ve discussed the minimum points you should grasp when scalping USD/JPY.
