【2/16 USD/JPY Scalping Points】
Thank you for your hard work! Now, let's do USD/JPY scalping tonight as well!
First, today's Tokyo session overview.
Currently, USD/JPY is around 153.30. This morning it started around 152.55, but during Tokyo time, the release of Japan's Q4 GDP at 8:50 JST disappointed market expectations, leading to expectations that the BoJ would find it difficult to raise rates further for the time being, and a yen-selling trend followed.
Today, the U.S. is on holiday and financial markets are closed, so there was some movement during Tokyo time, but afterward it may be hard to find a clear direction.
From the morning level, it seems likely to move about 75 pips up as we hand it over to overseas time.
Now, the points for tonight's USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements near the London market open around 17:00

Other notes…
・At 17:00 JST, Prime Minister Kishida and BOJ Governor Ueda will meet; watch for headlines afterward
・Today the U.S. is on holiday and markets are closed

Tonight's "1-minute chart scalping" will have limited targets since the New York market is closed. For users of the "1-minute Scalping Club," don’t overexert yourselves; after the London market opens, if there isn't a strong move, it may be okay to rest.
Also, the "15-minute chart scalping" for shorts is unlikely to see active buying due to the U.S. holiday, so attempting around the upper end of last week's range could be an option. The entry point would be after a slight pullback, aiming to sell around the mid-153s level.
With that, overseas trading time is about to start!
Because scalping targets small profit margins, it is easy to think there are opportunities 24 hours a day, but that is not the case. Targeting periods with relatively high volatility can significantly reduce the difficulty of trading.
The time frames I target are around the London market open and around the New York market open.
・London market open times (UTC-4 in US daylight time 16:00 / UTC-5 in US standard time 17:00)
・New York market open times (UTC-4 in US daylight time 22:00 / UTC-5 in US standard time 23:00)
After U.S. indicators and events are released, volatility remains high and opportunities are plentiful. However, in the minutes immediately after the release, spreads can widen, so it is essential to wait for spreads to return to normal before entering a trade.
Please always check the U.S. indicators and event schedule in advance. Knowing the time windows when opportunities come can help you accumulate profits efficiently.
In addition, avoid positioning immediately before U.S. indicators and events. If you go against the trend, it can be devastating. A careless mistake is unacceptable, absolutely.
The U.S. indicators and event schedule can be checked on the websites of each brokerage or FX broker.
Of course, there are many other points besides the three mentioned above, but I have explained the essential points you should keep in mind when scalping USD/JPY.
