"I would not become the lord, but would become a guest" — Laozi (Chapter 69)
Laozi's saying, "I do not aim to become the master, but rather become a guest," resonates strangely and deeply with me.
In simple terms,
it teaches that we should not aggressively seize control from ourselves,
but rather step back a little and go with the flow of the other party and the situation.
We tend to think,
"I have to do something about this!"
"I must move forward even just one step!" and feel the pressure on our shoulders.
But Laozi says something surprisingly opposite, like,
"It is better to retreat one foot than to advance one inch."
Trading is surely the same, isn't it?
Let's relax and face the chart!
Well then, until next time.
