[2/10 Dollar/Yen Scalp Points]
Thank you for your hard work! Now let's go with the Dollar/Yen scalp tonight as well!
First, from today’s Tokyo session overview.
Currently, the USD/JPY is around 155.35. This morning it started around 155.80, but during Tokyo hours it seems that adjustments to the yen-selling positions built ahead of the lower house election continued from yesterday.
After the Liberal Democratic Party’s sweeping victory in the weekend election, many may have imagined a rise in USD/JPY (I’m one of them…), but the market doesn’t move as forecasted. It’s all about trusting the price action in front of you.
From the morning level, it looks like about a 45-pip drop will hand the baton to the overseas session.
Now, the points for tonight’s USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements around the London market open at 17:00
● Movements after the US Retail Sales release at 22:30
● Movements around the New York market open (Dow opens at 23:30)
—–
Other notes…
・Tomorrow, the delayed US Employment Report will be released

For tonight’s “1-minute scalp,” in addition to the moves near each market open, the moves after the 22:30 US Retail Sales release will be key targets. For users of the “1-minute scalping club,” handling them in line with theory should be fine.
Also, for the short-only “15-minute scalp,” the yen-selling positions created before the election are being adjusted, so it’s worth aiming for. The entry point would be after a small pullback, selling around the upper 155s if possible.
Now, overseas time will start soon!
Because scalping profits are small, one might think there are 24-hour opportunities, but that isn’t the case. By targeting periods with relatively high volatility, you can dramatically reduce the difficulty of trading.
The timeframes I target are around the London market open and around the New York market open.
・London market open time (U.S. daylight time 16:00– / U.S. standard time 17:00–)
・New York market open time (U.S. daylight time 22:00– / U.S. standard time 23:00–)
Even right after US indicators/events are released, volatility increases and opportunities are plentiful. However, in the first few minutes after the release, spreads can widen, so the rule is to only enter after they return to normal spreads.
Always check the US indicators/events schedule in advance. By knowing when opportunities come, you can accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, positioning immediately before US indicators/events should be avoided at all costs. If you’re in the wrong direction, you can’t even see straight. You’ll be taken to the stop-loss in an instant. Carelessness is unacceptable, absolutely.
The US indicators/events schedule can be checked on each brokerage or FX firm’s website, etc.
Of course there are many other points besides the three above, but I’ve explained the minimum points you should keep in mind when scalping USD/JPY.
