How to Practice Trading
Hello!
I’m Takashi, a former accountant, psychological counselor and trader.
This time, since it’s a frequently asked question, I’ll share the answers.
I don’t know how to practice.
First, the way of thinking to win in trading differs from person to person.
If so, the way of practicing will be completely different.
There are two main approaches, I think.
① Test hypotheses and develop your own unique method.
② Make an existing method your own.
People who don’t know how to practice are often thinking in terms of approach ①, I think.
This time, since the questions are from people studying at my place, I am answering with approach ② as the premise.
How should I practice my method?
This is how I answered.
That’s all.
There was a discussion among a certain prop trader about how to practice.
・Run one method over and over.
・Find the same loss patterns and trial and error.
To run it over and over means to trade extensively with backtesting software.
First, you need one method.
If you say “let’s practice with that,” then you justdo it, right?
There should be no such thing as “I don’t know how to practice.”
Just trade according to that method in backtesting software.
If you want to learn my method, first the basic lines and scenarios.
・Watch videos explaining how to draw the lines
・Watch videos explaining how to create scenarios
This is the model, like a textbook. Watch this repeatedly.
And in backtesting software, imitate and draw the lines (for now, draw at least 2,000).
Also draw the scenarios. The patterns for drawing scenarios appear in members’ blog articles now and then, so read them all, many times.
I draw weekly scenarios on Sundays. You can also view lines and scenarios on the current chart.
On weekdays, I sometimes draw short-term scenarios as well.
Then you can verify the results.
If there’s a line you didn’t draw, go back and check where you looked to draw it.
You didn’t draw nothing’s there, and the rules for drawing are explained in the explanatory videos, so there will always be a place where your drawing rules match.
With repeated practice, anyone can do it in the same way.
It’s not drawn from experience or guesswork or intuition, so anyone can do it.
Because there are drawing rules and patterns, once you memorize them and keep practicing, you’ll be able to do it yourself for sure!
There are times I publish in real time too.
↓ Even this effective line can be drawn by anyone with practice. I’ve shown the drawing method and many examples, so there’s no reason you can’t keep practicing and succeed.
This is the one-minute chart of GBP/JPY. It’s not recommended to start with one-minute charts, but the same applies to any time frame.
Here, how would you draw the scenario?
If you’re reading the FX members’ blog, you must be able to do this!
The scenario drawing method is explained, and for patterns like this, I’ve shown how to draw it many times.
There is a rational basis, so anyone can do it.
This is the scenario for buying on a reversal. Where the buy-reversal line is, is written in the members’ blog as well.
I’m just following the textbook.
Everything is done with reasoning. It’s not based on experience or intuition. That’s why anyone can do it.
As explained.
If you’re reading the members’ blog and you still don’t understand this method, you should read the members’ blog at least ten times.
It’s all there.
First, understand the logic.
After that, practice is required to actually trade.
Just trade with backtesting software.
Draw the lines, draw the scenarios, enter and exit the trades.
After one trade, always keep a trade diary.
Record it and reflect and analyze repeatedly.
The trade diary is also described in the members’ blog.
Everything is written there.
Even people who haven’t taken a consulting service have repeated practice and started winning, so all the materials for truly winning are available.
All that’s left is to do it.
If you’re going to do it, you should treat it like you’re preparing for an exam.
Articles to read when you don’t know why you’re not winning
Trading is such that more people lose than win.
Ordinary people cannot win.
If you stay ordinary, you cannot become capable of winning.
If you find that you don’t know how to practice this time, please contact me.
Yesterday, I received a happy comment.
Today, I shared a good story on Twitter.
I also use scenario pre-emptively, but even if you watch with that expectation alone, you won’t be able to win by yourself.
Please read it again and again.
The difference between people who learn from the same materials and succeed and those who do not is here.
Whether you practice repeatedly or not.
People who have become able to win through the members’ blog or consulting do so 100% by repeating over and over.
Conversely, there are no cases where people win without repeating. There are no exceptions.
Nothing strange happens. It’s the ordinary cause and effect.
