[2/4 USD/JPY scalping points]
Hello everyone! Let’s do USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, from today’s Tokyo time overview.
Currently USD/JPY is around 156.30. This morning it started near 155.75, but during Tokyo time the flow of dollar buying and yen selling accelerated due to the partial reopening of the U.S. government and the upcoming House of Representatives election this weekend.
Around 12:00 Japan time it rose to around 156.40, and has since been range-bound. Prime Minister Suga’s or Yoon’s comment that could be interpreted as tolerating a weaker yen may also have contributed to the yen selling acceleration.
From the morning level, it is about 55 pips lower when handing over to the overseas session.
Now, the points for USD/JPY scalping tonight.
● Movements near the London market open at 17:00
● Movements after the U.S. ADP employment data release at 22:15
● Movements near the New York market open (Dow opens at 23:30)
● Movements after the U.S. ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI release at 24:00

Other notes…
・ Due to the U.S. government shutdown, tomorrow’s U.S. employment data release is postponed (tonight’s U.S. ADP employment data will draw attention)

Tonight’s “1-minute scalping” will target movements around each market open plus the moves after 22:15 ADP data and 24:00 ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI release. For users of the “1-Minute Scalping Club,” just follow the theory and you’ll be fine.
Also, the “15-minute scalp” for short-term trades should not be forced given the continued dollar-buying and yen-selling flow due to the U.S. government shutdown and this weekend’s election. Tonight I’d like to focus on the “1-minute scalping.”
Now we’ll soon start in overseas time!
Scalping tends to be thought of as having small profit margins with 24-hour opportunities, but that isn’t the case. By aiming for times with relatively high volatility, you can greatly reduce the difficulty of trading.
The time I target is around the London market open and around the New York market open.
・London market open times (16:00- US daylight time / 17:00- US standard time)
・New York market open times (22:00- US daylight time / 23:00- US standard time)
Volatility remains high and opportunities plentiful immediately after U.S. data/events release. However, in the minutes right after the release, the spread can widen, so always enter after it returns to the normal spread.
Please always check the U.S. data/event schedule in advance on the websites of each securities/FX broker. Knowing when opportunities will come helps you accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, avoid positioning immediately before U.S. data/events. If you go against the trend, you’ll suffer severely. Careless mistakes are unacceptable—absolutely.
U.S. data/event schedules can be checked on the websites of each brokerage/FX provider.
Of course there are other points as well, but I’ve shared the essential points to keep in mind when scalping USD/JPY.
