#05 I made it♪
October 24, 2025: Note
No, no, no, no, no, no, no…!
We’ve finally come this far♪
I made an EA ヽ(´▽`)/
In the previous issue
I said, “In Episode 2, I’ll publish the coding for the ‘shaving method’ as paid content.”
and more than ten days have passed since then.
What’s the result?
Annual profit of 20%...
For FX traders, that may be a bit weak, but
well, it’s on par with the investment god Warren Buffett.
Moreover, if you earn too much, the dealers will surely start cheating.
This isn’t a joke.
What’s important is the profit factor!
2.88!
A profit factor above 1 is considered acceptable,
2is regarded as quite excellentEAand is said to be
This is,
→ by using optimization options
→ finding the parameters that give the best results,
→ testing with those parameters
instead of doing nothing and just running the EA,
I ran the EA without thinking about it, quietly!
However, the maximum drawdown being 25.82 is not good.
This means at one point funds were reduced to 1/4.
I’d like to keep the maximum drawdown to around 10% of funds...
Then I realized that aside from trailing, the take profit was set to 30 pips.
I thought I had changed it to 50 pips during coding, but I hadn’t fixed the source… il||li〇| ̄|_
So, since the fixed take-profit was made an external parameter, I changed it to 50, reduced the lot to 0.1, and tested again.
Here are the results.
Surprisingly, the profit factor remained exactly the same at 2.88 as before,
annual profit dropped to 11%, but
maximum drawdown improved to 13.41%.
I will continue to improve it in the future.
Next time:
The EA has been strengthened! …That’s the plan (laugh)
