Tribonacci_RF攻略#2: How to Think About Trailing Profit-Take (Starting at 8 pips / 1-pip increments) + Summary of Cautions
It is a black cat.
Last time (Tribonacci_RF攻略#1) organized the “three conditions to wait and fire (line touch / divergence check / stochastic).”
This time, as a continuation, I summarize how to increase profits = trailing take profit and
the important points to note before using (stop level / spread).
In short, this EA is designed to go after “the periods of growth” rather than ending with a fixed take profit.
It is a trailing-led design to capture rising opportunities.
However, depending on account conditions, trailing may not operate normally, so please check the cautions together at the start.
1) Trailing take profit is a mechanism to “leave the rise.”
The trailing of this EA is
started at +8 pips
and then follows in 1-pip increments (Step=1)
as an image.
Once a certain amount of unrealized profit appears, it is designed to chase only the amount that grows while protecting profits.
2) Why not just fixed take profit?
Pullbacks/ retracements can occur in various forms,
・A day when it immediately reverses and ends
・A day when it extends in one direction and goes another step
are mixed together.
With only fixed take profit, it’s easy to miss the “rising days,” so
trailing plays a major role to capture upward moves.
3) For beginners: patterns where trailing tends to fail
Trailing is convenient, but two conditions make it more volatile.
Wide spreads (profits can be eroded even when in profit)
Low volatility periods (frequent small reversals can trigger losses)
Therefore, the “time to operate” and “spread conditions” are directly linked to the EA’s character.
(Like the previous #1, the “wait design,” here too, “setting the environment” is effective)
4) Caution: Accounts with stop level are not recommended (important)
This is the most important point.
Because this EA uses 1-pip step trailing,
accounts with stop level settings may reject order changes and fail to follow properly.
1-pip trailing = frequently updating the stop
Stop level exists = updates may not go through
→ as a result, you may not achieve the intended take profit or it may not move
5) Avoid rapid spread expansion with MaxSpreadPips
During indicators or similar times, spreads can widen rapidly, making entries, take-profit growth, and losses volatile.
Therefore, using MaxSpreadPips to avoid entering in dangerous times is safer.
6) Practice: the shortest safe operation procedure (this alone is OK)
For beginners, this sequence is fine.
Check behavior with the Strategy Tester (Visual)
Confirm whether the account has stop level (if not, consider changing accounts)
Use M15 & major pairs, operate in times when spreads are stable
Don’t operate on days that feel like indicators (make it habit)
Summary
Tribonacci_RF is designed to take advantage of growth with trailing leadership
However, accounts with stop levels are not recommended (1-pip trailing may not pass)
Stability is improved by avoiding rapid spread expansion with MaxSpreadPips

Next time, I will organize “the time of operation that is easiest to run” and “how to choose currency pairs” by three axes: spread × volatility risk × range behavior.
