【1/5 Dollar-Yen Scalping Points】
Thank you for your hard work! Let’s do USDJPY scalping again tonight!
First, the overview of Tokyo time today.
Currently, USDJPY is around 156.80. This morning USDJPY started around 156.75, but during Tokyo time, buying dollars was predominant, and after 1:00 PM Japan time it rose to around 157.30. They easily broke through the 157 level that was capped near the end of last week.
However, the buying did not continue, and once European and London participants entered, the moves shifted to testing the downside, and in the end it seems likely to hand over to the overseas session at roughly the same level as the morning.
Although the upside has become heavy, the mid-156s from last week’s lows still seem to have strong willingness to buy dips… maybe.
Now, the points for tonight’s USDJPY scalping.
● Movements around the London market open
● Movements around the New York market open (Dow opens at 23:30)
● Movements after the US ISM manufacturing PMI release
—–
● Be careful of headlines related to a weaker yen
Tonight’s “1-minute chart scalping” will likely target movements around each market open plus the moves after the 24:00 US ISM manufacturing PMI release. For users of the “1-minute scalping club,” handling as per theory should be fine.
Also, the “15-minute scalping” focused on the short side, which is a pure short strategy, may consider aiming around the mid-157 area where upside is heavy. The timing would be when you can wait for a pullback and can sell at levels above 157.
Thank you in advance for today as well!
Because scalping targets small profit per trade, it is often thought to be possible 24 hours a day, but that is not the case. By targeting periods with relatively high volatility, you can significantly reduce the difficulty of trading.
The time I target is around the London market open and around the New York market open.
・London market open time (16:00 US DST / 17:00 US standard time)
・New York market open time (22:00 US DST / 23:00 US standard time)
Volatility remains high immediately after US indicators/events, creating many opportunities. However, in the first few minutes after the release, the spread may widen, so it is essential to wait until it returns to the normal spread before entering a trade.
Please always check the US indicators/events schedule in advance. Knowing when opportunities will come allows you to accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, absolutely avoid positioning immediately before US indicators/events release. If you go against the trend, there is no way to save it. You can be brought to the stop-loss line in an instant. Careless mistakes are not acceptable, absolutely not.
The US indicators/event schedule can be checked on the websites of brokers and FX firms.
Of course, there are many other points besides the three above, but I’ve discussed the essential points you should at least know when scalping USDJPY.
