Hello, I am Riker, a full-time trader.
Nowadays, Gogojungle has many signal-based trading products.
When an entry arrow appears on the chart, you enter following it.
After a while, a settlement entry will appear, so you follow it to exit.
Traders typically just follow the signals on the chart without thinking,
but please wait a moment.
Are those signals really with an expected value > 1?
Where is the evidence that the expected value is > 1?
Perhaps the developers of those signal trading systems are simply
showing a list of their trades from the last 2–3 months,
in a tabular format?
Is that really trustworthy?
I am a seasoned trader with more than a decade of experience, and from my perspective,
if the period is only about 2–3 months,
any signal-based trading can coincidentally show positive profits.
For example, if the signal trading is a trend-following type,
and the 2–3 months happen to be an obvious uptrend on the daily chart,
even a very poor signal trading can coincidentally be profitable.
In my personal view,
2–3 months is far too short a testing period for signal trading.
With such a short period, you cannot verify all market conditions
(trends, ranges, boxes, fast moves, random, calm)
and the sample size is too small.
So, how long should the verification period be…
I think it should be at least10 yearsof testing.
And at least10,000 tradesshould be verified.
If you don’t go that far,
(trends, ranges, boxes, fast moves, random, calm)
you cannot claim to have covered all market environments.
And how many of these extensively tested signal-based FX products exist on Gogojungle…
The signal trading product I provide, “Polaris Alpha,”
is based on more than 20,000 tests over the past 17 years,
and uses a trading rule with an expected value > 1.
Therefore, it has a high level of reproducibility.
There are many other features as well,
which are summarized on the product page below, so please take a careful look.
