【12/1 Dollar-Yen Scalping Points】
Good work today! Now, let's do dollar-yen scalping again tonight!
First, today's Tokyo session overview.
Currently, dollar-yen is around 155.45. This morning it started near 156.10, but during the Tokyo session, following Governor Ueda's remarks, expectations for a rate hike this month strengthened and the pair declined.
From the morning level, it has fallen about 65 pips and seems to be transitioning to the overseas session. It looks like the upside may remain heavy today.
Now, the points for tonight's dollar-yen scalping.
● Movements near the London market open at 17:00
● Movements near the New York market open at 23:00 (Dow opens at 23:30)
● Movements after the release of the US ISM Manufacturing PMI at 24:00
———
● Pay attention to headlines related to the US-Japan policy interest rates
Tonight's "1-minute chart scalping" will target moves around market opens and the post-24:00 US ISM Manufacturing PMI release. For users of the "1-minute Scalping Club," handling as per theory should be fine.
Also, the short-only "15-minute Scalping" target is showing heavy upside pressure due to Ueda's remarks on rate hikes this month; there may be opportunities. If you wait for a slight pullback and can sell above the mid-155s, we'll enter the trade.
Now, overseas session will begin shortly!
Because scalping aims for small profit margins, it is often thought that there are opportunities around the clock, but that is not the case. By targeting periods with relatively high volatility, you can significantly reduce the difficulty of trading.
The time slots I target are around the London Open and around the New York Open.
・London Open time (UTC-4 during US daylight time 16:00 / UTC-5 during US standard time 17:00)
・New York Open time (UTC-4 during US daylight time 22:00 / UTC-5 during US standard time 23:00)
Even immediately after US indicators/events release, volatility increases and opportunities arise. However, in the first few minutes after the release, spreads may widen, so it is essential to wait until they return to normal spreads before taking positions.
Please always check the US indicators/events schedule in advance. Knowing the times when opportunities come allows you to build profits efficiently.
Also, absolutely avoid positioning right before US indicators/events releases. If you go against them, it can be disastrous. A careless mistake is unacceptable.
US indicators/events schedules can be checked on the websites of each securities company or FX broker.
Of course there are other points besides the three above, but I have explained the minimum points you should keep in mind when scalping the dollar-yen pair.
