TradeStation2000ievolved intoversion,OMEGA ResearchCo. had only released licensing for connecting online to a small number of data vendors. The most famous was Dow Jones Teletrieve's tech analysis tool, the Teletrac, upgraded version,TradeStationwas adopted, and the company referred TeletracversiontoTradeStation4.0by Dow JonesTradeStationVersion6.0and2000iasVersion7. Others includedFutureSourceoreSignalconnections,DTICo.'s connections were made. In Japan, data vendors were not very familiar, but globally the sales volume surpassed Dow Jones. The reason was simple: while Dow Jones (later TeleRate) produced products as fully in-house customizable, other companies' products meant thatTradeStationpurchased the product and the broker developed a system to place orders by contracting with the data vendor to provide data feeds.
Unfortunately, many order formats could not be prepared on the broker's end, so in reality, orders were placed manually by sending alert emails in response to generated signals.
Unfortunately21st century, when the boom in technical analysis arrived, people with bad intentions lurked to exploit either technicals or automated trading, preventing the day when the boom would be realized. But,21st century, Internet trading became common, removing those who could do harm, and voices calling for online programmatic trading were heard, leading to an online brokerTradeStation Technologies Co., Ltd., and laterTradeStation Securities was established. It was the dawn of the era of electronic trading from pit traders. For US stocks, mutual funds, options, futures, and currencies, it became possible to apply programmatic trading as a method of analysis and execution. Applications that created a new era became accessible to people.
