『Fund of the Year 2016』 chosen by mutual fund bloggers has been decided!
On Saturday, January 14, 2017, at 2:30 PM, at the TKP Shidax Culture Hall in Shibuya, the 10th annual "Fund of the Year 2016" selected by mutual fund bloggers (chaired by Renny) was held.
As a large number of mutual fund bloggers who participated in the voting gathered, the event began with a comment from the Financial Services Agency's Commissioner Morinori.
The Financial Services Agency's focus on fiduciary duty (the obligation of asset managers as fiduciaries, with particular concern about the high fees of funds, which the FSA regards as a problem) appeared to align with the frequent mentions by mutual fund bloggers of mutual fund fees, perhaps making Commissioner Morinori's remarks supportive of investors who are mutual fund bloggers.
With investment trust assets under management said to be around 100 trillion yen, as a means of information gathering for consumers and investors, and mainly to apply downward pressure on fees to improve mutual fund services, the role of mutual fund bloggers as a media is very significant.
If you want to learn about mutual funds, you might want to check out blogs by the organizing committee chair, Renny, and others.
Blogs of people who listened to the talk at the venueAkiba-style Mutual Fund DIYersTheir own portfolios are also open, which is interesting.
