【11/10 USD/JPY Scalping Points】
Thank you for your hard work! Now, let's do USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, the overview of Tokyo time today.
Currently, USD/JPY is around 154.05. This morning, USD/JPY started around 153.65, but in the early Tokyo session, as the Bank of Japan released the main opinions from the policy meeting and several members voiced a stance supportive of further rate hikes, it moved erratically about 40 pips, showing unstable movement.
However, as headlines progressed about the U.S. government shutdown being resolved, the USD/JPY drifted toward a weaker yen and remained steady. From the morning level, about a 40-pip rise, it seems to be handing off to overseas trading hours.
The U.S. government agencies seem to be on track to be reopen. How will the economic data look? It’s something I’m curious about.
Now, the USD/JPY scalping points for tonight.
● Movements near 17:00 London market open
● Movements near 23:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 23:30)
—–
● Be cautious of headlines related to the U.S. government shutdown
Tonight’s “1-minute chart scalping” has no scheduled U.S. indicators or events and no particular market catalysts, so the moves around market openings will be the points to watch. For users of the “1-minute scalping club,” if you follow the theory, there should be no problem.
Also, the “15-minute scalping” for shorts only is trending toward a weaker yen given progress toward reopening the U.S. government, so today I won’t push too hard. Tonight I’d like to focus on the “1-minute scalping.”
Then, please continue to support us today as well!
Scalping tends to be perceived as having small profit targets, leading to the assumption that there are opportunities around 24 hours, but that is not the case. By targeting periods with relatively high volatility, you can significantly reduce the difficulty of trading.
The time I’m aiming for is around the London market open and around the New York market open.
・London market open times (US daylight saving time 16:00– / US standard time 17:00–)
・New York market open times (US daylight saving time 22:00– / US standard time 23:00–)
Even immediately after U.S. indicators/events are released, volatility increases and there are more opportunities. However, in the minutes immediately following the releases, spreads may widen, so the rule is to always enter after they return to normal spreads.
Always check the schedule of U.S. indicators/events in advance. Knowing when opportunities will come allows you to accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, avoid positioning immediately before the release of U.S. indicators/events. If you go against the trend, it can be disastrous. You can be taken to stop-loss in an instant. Careless mistakes are unacceptable, absolutely.
The U.S. indicators/events schedule can be checked on the websites of each securities firm/FX broker, etc.
Of course there are many other points beyond the three above, but I’ve shared the essential points you should at least know when scalping USD/JPY.
