[11/7 Dollar-Yen Scalp Points]
Thank you for your hard work! Alright, let's scalp USD/JPY again tonight!
First, today's Tokyo session overview.
Currently, USD/JPY is around 153.45 yen. The pair started this morning around 153.05, and during the Tokyo session there were moments below 153, but the buying interest at that level seemed strong, and by the close of the Tokyo session it rose to the mid-153 range.
From the morning level, about 40 pips higher, it is likely to transition to the overseas session.
Today, the U.S. Non-Farm Payrolls data is also postponed. It seems there will be a lack of catalysts, with volume likely to move on week-end position adjustments.
Now, the points for tonight's USD/JPY scalping.
● Movements around the London market open
● Movements around the New York market open (Dow opens at 23:30)
● Movements after the U.S. University of Michigan Consumer Confidence Index release at 24:00
—–
● Be mindful of headlines related to U.S. government shutdown
Tonight's "1-minute chart scalping" will target movements around the market opens plus the move after the 24:00 release of the U.S. Michigan Consumer Confidence Index. For users of the "1-minute scalping club," if you follow the theory and manage it properly, there should be no problems. Also, as usual, today’s U.S. Employment Statistics release is postponed.
Additionally, for the short-specialized "15-minute scalping," if week-end position adjustments trigger selling, it may be worth aiming for. The setup would be favorable if you can sell around the mid-153 level.
With that, thank you for your continued support today as well!
Scalping profits are small, so people often think there are 24-hour opportunities, but that is not the case. By targeting periods with higher volatility, you can dramatically reduce the difficulty of trading.
The time slots I target are around the London market open and the New York market open.
・London market open time (U.S. daylight time 16:00 / U.S. standard time 17:00)
・New York market open time (U.S. daylight time 22:00 / U.S. standard time 23:00)
Volatility remains high immediately after U.S. data/events, creating many chances. However, in the first few minutes after the release, spreads can widen, so the iron rule is to enter only after they return to normal levels.
Always check the U.S. data/event schedule in advance. Understanding when opportunities arise helps you accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, positioning just before U.S. data/events is something you must avoid. If you go against it, you’ll suffer. It can wipe out your stop-loss in an instant. Careless mistakes are unacceptable, absolutely.
U.S. data/event schedules can be checked on the websites of securities firms and FX brokers.
Of course there are other points besides the three above, but I’ve shared the essential points to keep in mind when scalping USD/JPY.
