How to write a trading journal,

This is an example of a trading journal; I write it exactly as it is distributed in the newsletter.

The trading journal mainly consists of the following three items.

• Trading scenario: technical points

• Meta-cognition and words: organizing the mind, inner reflection

• Reflections and improvements: skill up and flexible imagination, problem-solving ability

If you only write the technical points of the trading scenario, it would look like the following.

Trading Scenario: Technical Points Regarding the trading journal, I carefully remember the important chart development imagery, the scenario forecasts, and the numbers of the counter line. Therefore, if the memory is vivid, I may not write it down.

I write by hand or on a computer, steadily, or I may not write at all. Why is that? When writing the trading journal, I ask whether it clears my mind. That is the criterion. When the market is clear, it’s fine; but if I cannot obtain certainty and it only increases worry, I will write to organize the market’s development. I write to learn from later insights and reflections, to organize my thoughts and foster growth.
