|
| I heard you had a lot of trouble with discretionary trading. |

Yes, I used to finish work late and stay up with charts until the early morning, then wake up for work again—the cycle went on.
I felt the limits of discretionary trading. |

| That was the trigger toward developing automated trading. |

Yes.
Since I had programming experience, I thought, “I’ll use this to automate my own trading.” |

| Did it go smoothly from the start? |

| No, not at all. When I started, I didn’t know development well, and my investment knowledge was shallow. |

| You reportedly struggled for about three years; were there losses as well? |
|
|

| Yes. Even though the EA I was confident in ran, it didn’t win, and I kept investing more, resulting in about 5 million yen of losses. |

| From there, how did you turn the situation around? |

| I focused on accumulating knowledge. I read more than 50 investment-related books, used tools, and conducted thorough backtesting. |

| Are there any books that left a strong impression? |
|
|

| Chen Masato (陳満咲杜)’s book. It focuses on price action and changed my view of candlesticks. |
|
| That realization led to the indicator “Miss Hornet.” |
|

| Yes. It captures the movements of candlesticks, turning price action ideas into an indicator. |
