[Amida Style: Dominate the Market with Volume Profile] FX Practice: NZDUSD Trading Analysis – October 8, 2025
On October 8, 2025, around 16:52 Japan time, I analyzed the 1-hour chart for the NZDUSD pair.
During this period, the price moved sharply lower, with a clear gap and a high-volume area (AOC) forming in the process. This indicates that capital flow has clearly shifted and selling pressure is dominant. When the price reversed and began testing this zone again, I viewed it as a high-probability selling entry opportunity.
To further support this analysis, I analyzed recent price action with Volume Profile. As a result, I found that the AOC (Area of Control), namely a zone with a large concentration of volume, is around 0.58044. This indicates a point where selling pressure actively participated and is likely to become a resistance zone when price returns.
Based on this analysis, I set a limit order as shown in the image.
Entry: Sell Limit at the lower edge of the AOC zone, 0.58044. In line with the major downtrend, I expect the price to retest this level and then move down.
Stop loss: set slightly above the upper edge of the AOC zone at 0.58168.
Take profit: set near the recent low at 0.57883.
Risk-reward (RR): for this setup is about 1:1.3, a reasonable ratio.
This trading decision is based on the following elements:
Clear price plunge and continuation of the downtrend – signs of large-cap funds moving.
Identification of a Volume Profile high-volume area (AOC zone) where volume is concentrated.
Sell Limit at the AOC lower edge, with a stop above it, and take profit settings near the recent support zone
This setup combines a downtrend, Volume Profile, and a high-volume concentration area to increase entry confidence.
I applied the knowledge from the Lesson 22 content I previously shared,Lesson 22: Volume Setup #2 Trend Setup – Read the “Area of Control” within the trend. If you haven’t read it yet, please refer to the link below.
