【9/29 Dollar/Yen Scalp Points】
Thank you for your hard work! Now, let's continue with dollar/yen scalping tonight as well!
First, a brief overview of the Tokyo session today.
Currently, the dollar/yen is around 148.50. This morning it started around 149.45, but during the Tokyo session, with the approach of the end of the 2025 fiscal year and difficulty reaching an budget agreement for the next fiscal year, and the realistic possibility of partial federal government shutdown from October 1, risk-off selling of the dollar spread widely.
Also, Nikkei reported that the Bank of Japan is expected to raise policy rates further in October. From the morning level, it would be about 1 yen 5 sen lower as it transitions to the overseas session. Tonight, the dollar/yen may be biased to the downside.
Now, the points for tonight's dollar/yen scalping.
● Movements near the 16:00 London market open
● Movements near the 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Movements after the 23:00 U.S. Existing Home Sales — Pending Home Sales — announcement
—–
● Be cautious of U.S. official statements
● Be cautious of headlines related to the Liberal Democratic Party leadership race
Tonight’s "1-minute chart scalping" will target movements around each market open. It’s not highly anticipated, but the moves after the 23:00 U.S. Pending Home Sales announcement could be the key. For users of the "1-minute scalping club," if you follow the rules, there should be no issue.
Also, the short-only "15-minute scalping" may see increased risk-off selling as the partial federal government shutdown becomes more plausible from October 1, offering a potential opportunity. If you can wait for a slight pullback and can sell in the upper 148 yen range, you can enter a trade.
Now, overseas time is about to begin!
Because scalping targets small profit margins, it can seem like there are opportunities 24 hours a day, but that’s not the case. By targeting periods with sufficiently high volatility, you can greatly reduce the difficulty of trading.
The time I target is around the London market open and around the New York market open.
・London market open time (UTC-4 in daylight saving / UTC-5 in standard time)
・New York market open time (UTC-4 in daylight saving / UTC-5 in standard time)
After U.S. indicators and events are released, volatility remains high and opportunities are plentiful. However, in the minutes immediately after the release, the spread can widen, so the rule is to enter only after it returns to the normal spread.
Please always check the U.S. indicators and events schedule in advance. Knowing when opportunities will arise helps you accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, positioning right before U.S. indicators and events should be absolutely avoided. If you go against them, you’ll be in trouble in an instant. Careless mistakes are not acceptable, absolutely not.
The U.S. indicators and events schedule can be checked on the websites of brokers and FX dealers.
Of course there are other points besides the three above, but I’ve talked about the minimum points you should keep in mind when scalping the dollar/yen.

Actually, one of my trading methods, “15-minute scalping,” is completely open source. I hope it may be of some help (totally free).

Also, on the following page, my main trading method, “1-minute scalping,” is also published, so if you’re interested please take a look (sorry… this one is paid).
If you’re aiming higher, please consider it.
