[9/18 Dollar-Yen Scalping Points]
Good job everyone! Now, let's do some dollar-yen scalping again tonight!
First, the overview for Tokyo time today.
Currently, the dollar-yen is around 147.45 yen. This morning it started around 146.95 yen, but during Tokyo time, the expectation that the Fed would cut rates by 0.25% and hinting at two more cuts later this year came true as anticipated, leading to a dollar buying back trend.
From the morning level, it seems we will hand over to overseas time with about a 50-pip rise.
In the end, Chair Powell did not yield to President Trump’s strong demand for rate cuts and remained cautious about further cuts. The market’s relief seems to be tied to the Fed’s independence being preserved.
Now, here are tonight’s dollar-yen scalping points.
● Movements around the London market open (16:00)
● Movements after the release of US initial jobless claims and the Philadelphia Fed index at 21:30
● Movements around the New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Movements after the US leading indicators release at 23:00

Tonight’s 1-minute chart scalping aims to accumulate profits with moves near each market open, plus after the 21:30 releases of US initial jobless claims and the Philadelphia Fed index, and after the 23:00 US leading indicators. For users of the “1-minute scalping club,” handling according to the theory should pose no problem.
Also, the short-only 15-minute scalping, after the FOMC passes, has exhausted near-term materials and a dollar-buy-back trend is underway, so please don’t push too hard today.
