Gottfried Leibhardt, CEO of the major international payment company SWIFT, attended the Paris Fintech Forum in Paris, France on January 30 and announced that

the company SWIFT will integrate the Croda Settler, developed by the American blockchain company R3, into its new settlement system GPI.

Today we announce a PoC on R3's trade-oriented blockchain.

This PoC is about initiating a payment on a trade platform, and that payment will be settled via GPI.

This time, the settlement app built on Corda, Corda Settler, which is led by R3, will be integrated with SWIFT.

According to SWIFT's official site, companies using the Corda network can obtain payment authorization and enable settlements through a gateway called GPI Link.

Corda Network is an open-source blockchain network.

Companies and financial institutions that use Corda can access Corda Network to enhance convenience.

Corda already has partnerships with many private companies and government agencies, totaling over 250, including well-known firms such as Huawei and Intel.
